Yoga and Shiatsu are two ancient traditions, proven over millennia to help balance the flow of vital energy within the body. Both modalities:
- Promote blood circulation and joint flexibility
- Improve posture and body-image
- Strengthen the body’s ability to resist disease and injury
- Create a state of relaxation
- Clear the mind
Vinyassa Yoga:
"Vinyassa" means: breath and movement. Movement and breath. Working through a series of yoga poses, connecting each with the breath, the body learns a dance-like flow. The result: an intense workout that invigorates the body and calms the mind.
Shiatsu Therapy:
˜Shiatsu" means: finger pressure. The shiatsu practitioner uses fingers, palms, forearms, feet and knees to apply pressure to the receiver's body. Pressure point techniques combined with stretches, joint rotation and energy work, create a fully holistic treatment.
Treatment is carried out in comfortable, loose clothing, with the receiver lying or sitting on a futon mattress.
Aromatherapy oils may be added to soothe the senses.
